The Creative Edit (TCE) is a 4-week virtual workshop built around expert mentorship and creative community to help you build your creative editing and storytelling skills and an unbreakable bond with your audience. WHO IS TCE FOR?

Group Video Calls
Each Saturday, The Creative Edit cohort meets virtually with Jeff Bartsch for a 90-minute group video call to review existing projects, discuss new ideas, and assign new exercises.
Weekly Editing Exercises
Cohort members work with their own computer and software. Sometimes exercises involve a creator's own footage, which gives the group insight into a diverse range of material. Members also edit footage supplied by Jeff – this gives incredibly unique perspective into how different creators edit the same material.
Exploration & Feedback
Cohort members engage the concepts editorially during the week while interacting in a private forum for support from each other and from Jeff.

What makes this different from all the other online courses out there?

How experienced do cohort members need to be?
The ideas in TCE always bring powerful new perspective to beginners and well-established creators alike, and each round of TCE brings a completely different experience based on who participates. Having said that, we don’t talk much about the technical/button-pushing side of editing – so it’s important that you already are familiar with shooting and editing with your own equipment.
Will this teach me how to use editing software?
No. While Jeff will use Adobe Premiere for demonstrations, TCE specifically avoids focusing on talking about which buttons to push or which editing program to use. You get to use your own equipment and your own software, so we can all focus on the most important parts of editing - the parts that happen in your mind.
What if I'm not actively creating yet?
If you don't know how to shoot and edit at all, TCE is not a good fit for you. But if you're looking for insight and guidance as you start your channel, then you ESPECIALLY should join TCE to get you into the mode of actually putting content together. You don’t have to put it up on your channel – just put yourself in the position to actually complete some content and to keep that momentum rolling forward.
What if I miss a session? Will I miss out if I'm not there live?
The ideal experience is for you to be there live so you can interact in realtime with Jeff and your cohort members. Having said that, all sessions will be recorded, and you'll have 24/7 access to the private members forum - so you'll find HUGE value even if you can't attend the live calls.
